Student Leaders
Student Leadership
Student voice and leadership are important parts of learning at Cambrai. We encourage students to take responsibility, contribute to the community and support others. Through leadership opportunities, students develop confidence, teamwork and an understanding that their ideas and actions can make a positive difference.
Students also work alongside adults on school committees, sharing their perspectives while developing communication and leadership skills.
House Captains
Our two house teams, Meldanda (green) and Marne (yellow), are led by student captains who help lead swimming carnivals at our local pool and interschool sports days, represent the school and support younger students.
Aboriginal Student Leaders
This role recognises and celebrates Aboriginal students while promoting reconciliation within our school community. Aboriginal Student Leaders represent the school at the State Indigenous STEAM Conference, contribute to our Reconciliation Action Plan committee, and support cultural learning across the school.
Environmental Ambassadors
Environmental Ambassadors work with the Natural Resources Management Youth Environmental Leaders Program to develop knowledge of sustainability and environmental care, sharing their learning with students from Preschool to Year 6 and through activities at Meldanda Environmental Education Centre.
Student Library Advisors
Student Library Advisors work alongside the school librarian to bring student voice to library activities, school holiday programs and book selections. They also attend special events and help promote a love of reading across the school.
Eatery Executive Chefs
Eatery Executive Chefs work with the Eatery Committee of the Governing Council to help design menus and support food service at the Cambrai Eatery, contributing ideas that promote healthy and enjoyable food choices for students.
