Welcome to Cambrai Playgroup
Playgroup is often a family’s first connection with our school community.
Each Wednesday, children and their parents, grandparents or carers are invited to play, explore and learn together in our welcoming preschool environment. Through creative, sensory, outdoor and nature-based experiences, children develop confidence, curiosity and friendships while families build connections with one another.
Our playgroup provides a relaxed, inclusive space where children from birth to five years can discover, create, investigate and have fun through play.

Bush Playgroup at Meldanda
Once each term, we head to our unique environmental learning site, Meldanda.
Children climb, explore, investigate, create and discover in a safe bushland setting while families enjoy the natural beauty of the Mid Murray landscape.
Bush Playgroup encourages curiosity, resilience, imagination and a lifelong connection with the natural world.

A Gentle Pathway into Preschool
Many children begin their learning journey at Cambrai through Playgroup before moving into Occasional Care and Preschool.
By the time they start preschool, children are already familiar with our staff, learning spaces and routines, helping them feel confident, secure and ready to learn.

Occasional Care
- Children aged 2–5 years can attend Occasional Care from 12:00pm–3:00pm following playgroup (bookings essential).
