Early Childhood
Cambrai Primary School & Preschool are in the unique position to provide our local families with support from birth through to transition to high school.
Our strong early years program begins with playgroup and occasional care to build the foundations for a high-quality early childhood experience and to support children to become creative, resilient and capable learners.
Our school recognises the vitally important role that families play in children’s development and learning; well-supported parents who are highly engaged with children help them reach their full potential. We begin working with and supporting families once they join our playgroup and/or occasional care programs.
Our programs for early childhood and early years learners are a play-based learning approach implemented in Preschool and Junior Primary class through the Early Years Learning Framework and underpinned by national standards set out by the Australian Children’s Education & Care Quality Authority (ACECQA).
Our learning environments are set up to support and guide the learning. We have a custom-designed preschool area attached to the junior primary classroom, and a secure lawn and playground.
