Acknowledgement of Country
Before there were our towns and school, this land belonged to the Peramangk and Ngaiawang people. The Marne River (Taingappa) created a beautiful, wide, flat valley and flood plain, studded with giant red gums.
Today we recognise the Aboriginal people’s long history with this land and across Australia, and how learning has been happening here for many thousands of years as The Dreaming was shared, and the children taught about their land.
